Here’s What I’m Working on At the Moment ...

I want to post an interactive comments board here. I'm doing the programming from scratch in my - you should pardon the expression - spare time.

It would essentially be a place for comments, reflections, responses - all in the name of community-building. Yeah, sure, Wordpress distributes stuff like that as a plug-in - but that would involve following instructions. I'm putting it together myself. I've always thought of home computers as Bill Gates and Steve Jobs' science projects. This is mine.

So if you hear any rumbling from the general direction of the Pacific southwest, it may be my server exploding. Again.

My own science project, a little thing we call Lancer, is still underway - albeit at a rate slower than I planned. There are a couple of other projects competing for time (yes, I'll let you know about them as soon as I can) and I've gone a bit off the reservation with Lancer. I tend to work out of order when I get to a certain point in a story and that's what's going on with Lancer. Chapter 8, as it happens, is done - along with some other material later in the story. So you'll see chapter 8 as soon as I can also show you chapter 7.
